Best Fixed Gear Tires

Continental Touring Plus 28c

Conti Touring Plus - "Sticks and stones and other sharp, pointy objects won’t stop Continental’s Touring Plus tire. It's armed with Continental’s stalwart Security System, a tough sub-tread that prevents punctures. This layer is highly elastic, too, so that the ride remains light and lively. Plus, this tire sports Continental's Reflex sidewall striping for high visibility and safety."

.\\ These Touring Plus' make excellent rear wheel tires. They are durable and great for skidding. Also, for a 28c it feels really responsive. Not to mention reflective sidewall, and only 28$ bikesource.us (sub tread is orange)

Vittoria Randonneur 28c

"Vittoria Randonneur - This tire is suitable for city and light trail use, with puncture-resistant technology for long-wearing durability.
  • Aramid fiber-reinforced rubber makes tread strong, stiff and cut resistant
  • Double shielding technology places a hard rubber layer under the tread's middle section and a high-density nylon fabric layer under the tread
  • A puncture-resistant tread is placed under the treads for maximum puncture resistance
  • Deep tread grooves allow water to escape quickly"
.\\ Super Strong, Ridiculous Durability ( 12 layers of tread ). Stiff, and fast. Also only 29$ REI

Performance GT2K tire. Heavy as fuck, but super durable with great puncture protection. At 9-15 dollars all the time, it's the primo wall of the fixed gear world.
