Thursday night Fixed Gear Ride #5

This Thursday

the ride will be ending at Old Main on campus for the Bicycle Film Festival. $10 to get in.

Thurday Night Fixed Ride #4

Peter Cook finishes 15th at 09 NACCC's !!

Congratulations to Peter Cook (@peter_abbit) for his awesome 15th place finish at NACCC's. Representing for boulder !

One thing to note is that the server crashed when peter was trying to get his 5th manifest which by his estimate wasted atleast 20 minutes of his time. Had that not happened he would have finished in even better position.

Despite that setback 15th place is an excellent showing. He also managed to scoop up 130 bucks in prize money. the cash column is the amount of imaginary "money" racers made from each delivery.

REMINDER: This thursday meet at the Buffalo near folsom field for the thursday night ride. Peter will be there to sign autographs.

UPDATE: We will be riding at 8pm sharp, after the ride we are all going to bloody beetroots and simian mobile disco in denver.

Starting on 7.23.09, next Thursday, lets all meet up and ride. Say... 8pm at the Buffalo on campus.

Group Rides

Hey yall, lets start Thursday night fixed gear rides. Here's why:
1. The cruiser ride sucks/You're over it
2. The cruiser ride is for cruisers (going slow)
3. The people on the cruiser rides are either a. elitist middle aged people or b. underage kids on dept. store mountain bikes
4. Loops is fun but its a pain in the ass to go to Denver all the time
5. We can do whatever we want depending on who's there, meaning we can bomb hills if we want, stop to stunt, drink beers, socialize, we can cruise the creek path, loop downtown, whatever. If we post the route online before the ride people can meet up with us whenever.
6. We can have our own after-parties wherever we want.
7. More of a "fixed gear community" will emerge?
